The Wake Forest Farmers Market was established over 25 years ago. 

We are growing and with your help we can expand our community reach! The life of a farmers market is a circle. The market needs vendors to attract customers and we need customers to keep vendors. Our farmers and vendors have served our community for many years and we have built a loyal following of customers. Many folks in Wake Forest do not realize that there is a market in their own backyard! Help us grow and get the word out! Our ‘little’ town of Wake Forest has its very own Wake Forest Farmers Market and it is open year round! 

In an effort to reach more people in the community and collaborate with more businesses, we are asking individuals and businesses to help support our efforts through individual donations and sponsorships. By contributing to the farmers market, you help us to spread the word to our community for greater visibility. The market will be better able to advertise and use outreach to bring people to shop LOCALLY and support small businesses, artisans and farmers who readily off er local products in service to our community. Help us to reach more people and build an even stronger community around the Wake Forest Farmers Market. 

Each week, throughout the year, our market provides a variety of catered food, meats, produce, coffee, baked goods, including, but not limited to pottery, photographic arts, etc. We are a producer-only market that only offers products that are made, created or produced by the vendor. A few times a year we host holiday/craft markets with many guest vendors along with their products. We also provide kids activities, gardening advice, special guests (authors, book readings), musicians and more. The market is an active part of the community by inviting the Wake Forest Fire Department, Wake Forest Police Department, Animal Rescues, Local Girls and Boys Scout Troops along with hosting Mobile Blood Drives. The market has been trained to participate in SNAP and the Senior Farmers Market Nutritional Program along with participating in the Produce 2 Pantry program with our local food bank to provide nutritious local food to all members of the community.

Since 2020 the market has been increasing its size and presence for a wider selection of foods and crafts, and has gained over 15,000 followers on our social media accounts. We look forward to continuing to build on this success. The market’s income relies solely on the fees charged to vendors for the space they occupy. With insurance, advertising, supplies, kids activities, a market manager and a hospitality host vendor fees alone do not cover the costs to maintain a successful market. Your contribution will assist in maintaining all of this, while promoting local craftspeople and family farms, which will help keep the cost of sustainably grown food affordable. 

We strongly wish to promote the market so that more people around the community can join our weekly market as both a customer and/or a vendor. The market is a great place to shop for local items and get acquainted with the market community. Therefore, we are asking the local business community and families for support through sponsorship.
